Therapy for Moms in Norwalk & Online Across Connecticut

It’s not you mama, it’s simply that hard. Supporting your Motherhood journey

You’ve tried it all yet feel like you’re still drowning… You are not alone.

Modern day motherhood is harder than ever.

It may feel difficult to enjoy every moment when you’re constantly second guessing yourself as a parent,  the never ending ‘to do’ list, and feel like you have nothing else to give at the end of the day. I'm here to tell you that you are not alone- many moms we support feel just like You.

We support mothers who may be feeling…

  • Burn out from carrying most of the parental load

  • Daily overwhelm of having to manage multiple tasks at once

  • Frustrated and yelling more at their kids

  • Disconnected from friends and the things they used to enjoy

  • Feeling resentful toward their partner

If you resonate with any of these struggles- you are in the right place. We can help you uncover what your true needs are and explore the changes that need to happen so you can feel more connected to your children and family.

There is nothing wrong with the way you feel right now.

Your challenges don’t define you. You can still be a good mom and need support.

There may be different reasons for why you are here today. Maybe you want to feel more present with your kids and stop counting the hours before bedtime or maybe you want to stop snapping at your partner when they ask you, “What’s wrong?” No matter the reason, we are here for you.

It is possible to get to a place where the overwhelm does not consume you, life does not feel so hectic and you can look forward to the next day without dread.

How do we support your motherhood journey?

Supporting moms like you means understanding what you want your life to look like and uncovering what is getting in the way of your joy and happiness. Therapy can help you feel heard, understood and empowered.

You can use the support as a safe haven to share your feelings about being a mom, (not just the ‘happy-feel-good feelings’)  learn skills to manage overwhelm or learn parenting strategies- the beauty of therapy is that it’s customizable to your unique needs.

We know you’re busy and have your hands full already, but by being here today shows you are ready to do something for yourself- even if that feels a little scary.

You may be feeling a little conflicted because as much as you want the support you may be feeling apprehensive of what this will look like or what to expect.

Our approach is centered around You.

It is important to understand that you are not here because something is wrong with you or you are not equipped to be a parent. Some of the challenges you may be experiencing could be a product of societal pressures and false expectations placed on mothers.  Our approach in working with you may involve disentangling some of these, ‘faulty messages’ to better understand the root cause of your overwhelm and distress. Understanding some of these factors can relieve you of the guilt you may be holding onto about yourself. ‘Mom guilt’ is REAL and we’re here to help you tackle it head on!

  • We will hold space for you and validate your struggles.

  • We help you identify solutions to help you feel heard when you don’t feel seen.

  • We help you be the Mother you want to be.
